Wowza! This is such an amazing spreadsheet. Truly an act of love and labor. Thank you for sharing this with the world.

You're welcome! Happy to help :)

Hi!

Love the Starforged sheet, especially as I'm playing solo.

However, I haven't figured out how to add extra Asset and Module fields... is this something obvious I'm missing?
Cheers, Cat

Along the left side of the screen you should see some [+] buttons that expand row groups. By default, characters can have up to 9 assets, and the Starship sheet has up to 6 modules and 6 support vehicles.

Thanks!

I may be a doofus: I see Sundered Islands Assets in the list but I have no idea how to turn them on, or where to research this further. Is there currently a way to do that?

Hi @fuzzycynoaki!

You're not at all a doofus, and I'm glad you asked!

1️⃣ You should be able to do so from the "ReadMe" sheet under "Global Settings." If the row group is collapsed, it can be expanded by clicking the "+" sign to the left:

2️⃣ Checking the first box will include all compatible Sundered Isles assets in the dropdown filters.

Currently, the Crew Sheet is optimized for the Forge, so you'll notice only the Sundered Isles assets compatible with the base game are included by default. A new playkit dedicated to Sundered Isles is in my development pipeline, but it will take time to update the sidebars and reformat sheets to better suit a seafaring campaign.

⚠️ In the meantime, if you want to include all Sundered Isles assets it's an easy fix. You can follow these steps to avoid breaking anything:

  1. Check the "Sundered Isles" and "Custom" boxes under ReadMe > Global Settings.
  2. Unhide the "Asset Database" sheet.
  3. Do only one of the following:
    1. Change the "Source" to "Custom" in column "N" for any/all Sundered Isles assets you wish to include.
    2. Check the "Compatible" box in column "O" (as in Oscar) for any/all Sundered Isles assets you wish to include. Note: you won't be able to easily undo this later, so I'd recommend option A.

Hope that helps!

- Jade

Looks great, thank you!
Is there a way to access the Starforged toolbar menu from the Google Sheets mobile app?

(+1)

Unfortunately not -- it's only accessible through a desktop browser.

Love the crew sheet! It makes things so much easier to keep track of. I noticed when adding some custom assets that integrity for support vehicles and any tracker for ship modules don't seem to be working right. Something to note for the next version.

Thanks for the heads up! Is it not showing the correct values? Or not letting you mark them off?

The label for the box (column I) doesn't show up and the drop down (column J) shows up, but if you select something, it still stays blank. (Columns on the assets sheet)

Thank you so much for the details! I'll look into it ASAP

This has been fixed in v3.0!

This looks really great. I hope to give it a try soon.

I’d love to hear what you think! Have fun!

Looks amazing, but how do we actually download this rather than use it online-only via Google docs?

You have a setting in Google Sheet to set the sheet to be « available offline »

(1 edit) (+1)

While it's possible to edit a Google Sheet offline, some of the Crew Sheet's features will only function when you're online (such as the Oracle sidebar). Offline use hasn't been tested extensively, since one of the main goals of the Crew Sheet is to provide multiplayer support, which is only accomplished while more than one user is online editing the shared document.

Superb job. Tried my hands at it a while back but I much prefer sending some cash your way to get a better product.

A small request : Add a tab to register your truths.

Keep up the awesome work. Really appreciated !

Great idea! I'll keep this in mind for future updates!

May I ask for clarification on how to use the sector template?

(1 edit) (+1)

Sure! It's simply a grid of cells that you can format to visually represent a sector map. Here's an early example from one of my solo games:

It's certainly not the most elegant solution, but it does the trick for now. Sector maps are certainly on my list of things I plan to improve! If you have any suggestions/requests, let me know!

This looks great! Am I right in thinking you need to manually type in all the asset information, there's not a way that it's automatically added from a drop down menu or something else I'm missing?

(+1)

Correct--currently, assets are added manually. Adding dropdown functionality is planned for a later version! It wasn't added initially because the CC license wasn't available yet when the sheet was first developed (during the Kickstarter campaign).

This functionality was added in v2.4! You can now select assets from a dropdown! 🥳

JadeRavens have you work on the Verse document you started for Starforged Firefly?

The next version is still under development! Thanks for your interest. Real life paused things for a bit, but I'm hoping to release a big update this year. Stay tuned!

If you need a proof reader or play tester I volunteer.
