Version 2.3

Version 2.3

  • New progress tick icons for a cleaner look
  • Condensed character sheet headers for easier reference
  • Minor fixes and improvements

The biggest change you'll notice is that character stats are now located in the header (instead of below it). This means they're always visible no matter where you're at on the character sheet! Subsequently, the characteristics text box has been moved down to a collapsible section below the header.

The gear section has also been simplified. Previous versions featured columns for "tags," which have now been removed. For a while, I was experimenting with equipment tags as a house rule, but he more I thought about it, the less it made sense to make that the default for everyone (silly me). In my personal games, I've since moved on from equipment tags to a "Usage" mechanic inspired by Mausritter. If you're curious about the details, drop a comment below and I'll be happy to share!

What's next?

I'm pleased with the current state of the Starforged Crew Sheet. I'll continue releasing updates as I make improvements during play, but my primary focus for the summer will be the ongoing development of Junk Noir: A Robo-Sleuth RPG. Here's the elevator pitch:

You are a malfunctioning robot detective solving mysteries in a noir retro-future

Junk Noir is a cooperative, zero-prep, GM-less story game for 2 or more players. This is my first standalone RPG, and I hope you'll join the FREE playtest! Your feedback goes a long way toward creating a polished final product.
