The Cards
The back of each card features the skein of fate encircled by runes and circumscribed with Celtic knots. The front of each card features:
- Rune image, name, literal translation + symbolic meaning, upright or reversed
- Aett (clan) number + patron (3 aetts, 8 runes each), rune number (1-24)
- Element (earth, air, fire, water)
- Terrain, for wilderness exploration (mountain, hills, forest, plains, swamp, water)
- Locale, for discovering points of interest (delve, fort, tree, road, fey, tower, ruin, henge)
- Yes/no oracle + optional modifiers (and/but)
Using the Deck
Ask a question, then draw a card. Interpret the runes meaning in context until the answer becomes clear. For additional insight, draw another card. The second card modifies the first.
This oracle deck is intended for entertainment and contemplation. It was designed with respect to Norse, Celtic, and Pagan traditions and should not be considered historically or linguistically accurate.

Heya, just received a printed version of the deck -- kudos for creating something this functional and pretty. I noticed there's only one card where the upright/reversed symbolic meanings differ (giant/thorn). Is this intentional? I assumed as much at first, but it's literally the only one, so I'm having doubt
That is intentional, yes, mostly because the literal translations of those words differed in a lot of the sources I found. Since I had two spaces, I decided to include both for the sake of variety. Most of the other translations seemed fairly straightforward.
