When our ancestors sailed from the Old World, they came first to the bays and fjords of the Flooded Lands. Few Ironlanders now venture beyond the relative safety of the Havens — cultivating farmland and grazing herds around our steadings, and ranging the nearby hills and woodlands to forage and hunt wild game.

The Iron Atlas is a collection of hand-drawn maps designed to make the Ironlands feel bigger, wilder, and more grounded in the fiction—helping you see the world as an Ironlander would.

Use the Iron Atlas to envision what you experience and encounter as you travel the Ironlands. What do you see, smell, taste, hear, and feel? What’s the weather like? What kind of food or shelter can you expect to find? Who—or what—might you meet along the way?

Explore the Ironlands

The Ironlands are a vast, uncharted land full of mortal peril, strange beasts, and harsh weather. The average Ironlander is unlikely to envision the known world in its entirety. At first, your world is confined to the horizon around your steading. Distant locations are unknown to you, shrouded in mystery or legend and waiting to be discovered.

Fill in the Gaps

These maps are inaccurate and incomplete by design—they are meant to be sketched in and expanded. The more you explore, the more clearly your version of the Ironlands comes into focus.

Make Discoveries

Each regional map includes an oracle matrix for local Denizens (friends and foes), Flora (plants to forage), and Fauna (animals to encounter or hunt). Whenever you roll on a matrix and the result is blank, fill it in. Spark inspiration with new oracles, bringing the Ironlands to life with inclement weather, useful flora, and wild animals.
