This is one of the most effective, concise, and underrated supplements for Ironsworn (and now for Starforged with Darkest Derelicts!) I’ve come across. The visual design of the sheets is extremely clean, the added truths and adjusted oracles are flavorful, and the new system is simple yet compelling (and deceptively versatile).
One of the benefits I’ve noticed while using such a simple procedure is that it’s a gentle but consistent reminder to engage all of my senses with the fiction.
I wholeheartedly recommend both supplements to all, but especially so for those looking to inject a little grim/dark fantasy or Alien/Mothership sci-fi into their Ironsworn/Starforged games.
And thank you for all your amazing work! I went to leave a glowing comment on the Starforged Crew Sheet this morning without even realizing you’re the author! That’s an instant follow.
Hey, just a heads up unrelated to this supplement but I see you rating projects and due to itch’s crappy system anything other than 5-star reviews equals 1 star. If you don’t mean to 1-star a project, then 5-star it.
Thanks for letting me know! I didn't realize this, and I'll definitely correct it. I was curious so I did a bit of research, and sure enough there are some strange quirks to how Itch.io handles ratings nad reviews. Apparently "reviews" aren't public and ratings are only there to drive algorithm traffic. Not how I'd do things (and contrary to how we're accustomed to things working on online marketplaces) but oh well. Now I know! Cheers
Very cool concept. I've play Ironsworn for awhile now and I love making it just a little more detailed. Adding this lighting concept just makes delves and dark journeys that much more...creepy. I love it. Great idea, and very well implemented.
This is awesome stuff. Mechanically, it is solid and adds just a little extra challenge, along with some potential opportunities. Narratively, it has some great ideas for a (literally and figuratively) darker Ironlands.

The prompts are so evocative and the mechanics so exciting I cannot wait to use them in my homebrew setting. Good job!
